Miss Porter’s School Search
Here, Girls Matter is the “search” piece for the Miss Porter's School Office of Admission. A search piece is a preliminary mailing to prospective applicants who have shown interest. It introduces the story of how Miss Porter's School has educated and developed strong female leaders across generations.
Target Audience
Our target audience is ambitious, creative, intelligent middle school girls. We addressed their needs by acknowledging that they have big dreams for themselves and that they need our school to support them fully. We address them with the maturity they deserve, but in short bursts of text with evocative opening and closing lines to assist in remembering facts and details. We appeal to their youth through playful design elements such as our clear envelope and accordion style cards to inspire the idea that they are receiving some really special information. We utilized hashtags to encourage applicants to do so as well and the school uses them regularly in their social media. The cards are easily re-purposed as inspirational cards for a bulletin board or locker.
